Good attendance and punctuality are vital for success at Blackmoor Park Infants School and Kindergarten and establish positive life habits necessary for future success. They also minimise the risks of pupils conducting anti-social behaviour or becoming victims/perpetrators of crime or abuse. Regular attendance also encourages your child to build friendships and develop social groups, working together as a whole team, sharing ideas and developing life skills. Children’s social skills are also enhanced by regular attendance.

Our school displays a positive and proactive ethos that places high value on attendance and punctuality and values its partnership with parents/carers to promote good attendance. This policy advocates close working with all local Schools and aims to provide a cohesive approach to tackling attendance within Blackmoor Park Infants School and Kindergarten ensuring that every child and every moment matters.

Our attendance figure for the academic year 2022/2023 was XXXXX%

Our attendance figure for this academic year 2023/2024 up until the end of the Spring term is XXXX%.

As a Liverpool school we follow Liverpool's Attendance Charter below. Our attendance strategy is supported by our Education Welfare Officer who works with families to improve attendance patterns which are causing concern.
