Ms Vicki Abraham (Chair of School Committee)
"I became a school governor at Blackmoor Park infant school in 2020 and have served as Vice-chair of the governing board moving to Chair of the school committee once we joined the Three Saints Academy Trust. My motivation will always be to ensure our children are provided with a safe, happy and effective learning environment. I have one daughter who is still in Primary school and her educational journey has been the catalyst for my governance journey. I am a serving police officer with over 16 years experience which gives me a good understanding of safeguarding for our children and families."
Mr Paul Mulcahey (Vice Chair)
Mrs Lisa McCarrick
"My name is Lisa and this is my second year as parent governor. I have known the school since 2015 when my son attended and in 2023 when my daughter began attending. Through my daughter attending Kindi, I became parent Govenor. My daughter is very excited and enthusiastic about coming to school, which was my deciding factor in taking the role. I am passionate about Blackmoor Park Infant School and the ongoing development and progress it is making when raising standards for all children. Having been a teacher for 18 years, I have taught across both key stages 1 and 2 with me now currently teaching in Early Years. Having this experience, gives me a skill set and knowledge to support my role as a parent governor. "
Mr Paul Hughes
"I have been a parent governor at Blackmoor Park Infant School for over 3 years. I volunteered to be a governor to support the school and do my best for my children. I have 3 children - Year 5 / Year 3 (Blackmoor Juniors) and a 2-year-old who has started his Blackmoor journey!
My background is in Finance, with over 25 years of experience - I have been lucky enough to work across different organisations and sectors including – Insurance, Non for Profit Tech. This has given me valuable insight into how business works. My current role is Systems Transformation Manager. It’s these skills that will allow me to challenge and support within the school committee."
Mrs Joanne Hitchmough (Headteacher)
"I am the headteacher of Blackmoor Park Infant School and am dedicated to creating a safe, caring, and happy school community where our children develop a lifelong curiosity and zeal for learning. I have a wealth of expertise in primary education. Before joining Blackmoor Park, my career spanned various roles and schools that shaped my leadership style and deep understanding of education. I have worked with Year 2 pupils in a two-form entry primary school in St. Helens, providing me with a strong foundation in delivering high-quality teaching across a wide range of abilities, while building meaningful relationships with both children and their families.
I then continued my teaching in a one-form entry primary school in Cheadle Hulme, where I taught Reception for 7 years and Year 1 for two. Working in a smaller school allowed me to develop a close-knit and supportive learning environment, where each child’s individual needs were met. My experience here deepened my commitment to ensuring that all children had access to the best possible start in their education.
I then spent two years as a seconded headteacher in one of Liverpool's Nursery Schools. During this spell, I successfully led the school to an improved Ofsted outcome, demonstrating my ability to make a significant impact and drive positive change.
Prior to joining Blackmoor Park, I spent nine years as a Senior School Improvement Officer and School Improvement Partner within the Liverpool Local Authority. My work in this capacity not only provided me with an in-depth understanding of education policy but also strengthened my expertise in guiding schools through challenging periods of change and development. whilst understanding the complexity and vibrancy of our great city.
I remain deeply committed to the ethos of collaborative learning, ensuring that each child is not only given the tools to succeed academically but also encouraged to develop curiosity, creativity, and resilience in their personal growth."
Mr Edd Naylor (Co-Headteacher)
"I am currently serving as the Co-Headteacher at Blackmoor Park Infant School, a role I began in November 2024. In addition to this, I am also the Director of Early Years for The Three Saints Academy Trust. My decision to join Blackmoor was driven by a passion for supporting school improvement and fostering an environment where every child can thrive. I am an experienced senior leader with over 15 years experience in Early Years/Primary Education.
With extensive experience in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), I have a deep understanding of the critical stages in a child's early development. It’s an exciting journey to watch the children at Blackmoor grow, develop, and reach their potential, all the way from their early years through to Year 2. I am dedicated to ensuring that each child receives the best possible start to their educational journey, and I look forward to continuing to make a positive impact within the school and wider Trust."
Mrs Sarah Rattigan (Assistant Headteacher)
"I have been a teacher for 20 years, with the past 14 spent at Blackmoor Park Infants. My previous experience includes working as a Children's Centre Teacher and serving as a Teacher Advisor to the PVI sector. Currently, I am the Assistant Head, Early Years Lead, DDSL and Curriculum Lead for
PSHE and RE. Teaching in Early Years is a privilege, as it allows me to see the world through the eyes of our youngest learners. I am committed to ongoing professional development to ensure we provide high-quality education for our children.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, I strive to be approachable and supportive, valuing the voice of all colleagues. I am proud to serve as the staff representative on the school committee, working collaboratively to support the school's vision and development."
