Chestnut are so dramatic...

Last week we were busy not only reading poetry but also creating our own poems. Guess how we generated the vocabulary and language we needed for our poems! Well, we threw snowballs at Mrs Ware...

Don't worry they weren't real snowballs. They were made from paper and we had written our ideas on them first. It was so much fun...

This week Chestnut are reading a story called Dogger. Do you know it? It's about a boy called Dave who has a toy dog he is very fond of. The dogs name is Dogger. One day Dave is very quiet and we find out why...

In groups we looked at different scenes from the story, we created mind maps to help focus our learning and develop our vocabulary and then we used 'freeze frame' to think about how the characters were feeling.
