Outdoor maths!
As you know, all of the children absolutely loved taking part in Outdoor Learning Day last week. Six lucky classes across Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 were able to take part in maths games and challenges outside on the day, including a number treasure hunt, skittles and darts, a traffic survey and throwing beanbags into a hoop to see how many points they could score.
The children loved making up their own number lines to jump on and being able to write number sentences on the floor in chalk! They were able to keep score of their friend's points and see which colour car seems to be the most popular around our school. All the children had lots of fun with maths and all had big smiles on their faces :).
