A busy week including World Book Day 2023

Year1 Team

We have had another busy week. We have continued our work in addition in Maths and have been focussing on doubles and near doubles this week. In English, we have continued to read and discuss the story Hansel and Gretel. We continue to work on our handwriting, spelling, sentence structure and punctuation. In PE, we have focussed on Gymnastics and continued with our floorwork including making different static shapes.

We have continued our work on plants in Science and are currently growing our own cress in class. We have also continued our learning across the curriculum this week.

We really enjoyed celebrating 'World Book Day' today. We came to school dressed as our favourite story characters and we shared the books we had brought in with our friends.
