A full week of busy learning in Kindi 3+

This week we have started our phase 1 phonics, we have been listening for sounds we can hear around school and outdoors. we have spoken about sounds we may hear at home too like… the kettle boiling, the door bell ringing. Can you listen for sounds at home at the weekend? Ready for Monday when we will be talking more about the sounds we hear. We have also used the musical instruments listening carefully to the different sounds they make. We played a game of guess the instruments using our best listening ears.

We have also been thinking about rhyming words, Can your child think of rhyming words we have been talking about? ‘Oi Dog’ ‘Oi Frog’ ‘Oi Cat’ by Kes Grey and Jim Field are all titles of rhyming stories we have listened to this week. The children have been excited thinking of different rhymes 😃
