A Super Week for Year 1!
Here we are at the end of week 5 of home learning. We are so pleased with all the lovely learning that has been taking place both in school and at home this week. We are still receiving lots of lovely photos and examples of children's work from home - thank you for continuing to send these in!
This week we have been reading all about The Three Little Pigs and completing lots of activities about the story. We have been practising adding and subtracting with numbers to 20 and we have begun to learn all about plants - what are the parts of a plant called? Which plants do we eat? What might we plant to grow in our garden? Some children have also been getting very creative this week - making fantastic pieces of art and completing creative writing based on learning from previous weeks.
We have also had a very special birthday this week in Oak Class. Happy birthday to Harper who is 6 years old today! She enjoyed bringing in a lovely cake for her friends to share and blowing out a birthday candle while we all sang Happy Birthday. We hope you have enjoyed your special day!
Below you can see some of the special highlights of our week both in school and at home. Keep up all the fantastic learning you have been doing and please continue to send in examples of your fantastic work each week for us to celebrate.
Don't forget to check Purple Mash for new tasks each week and keep checking in with our weekly blogs - there are now some new teacher story times to watch and some questions to answer.
Have a lovely, relaxing weekend.
The Year 1 Team.
