Final Celebration!
Good morning, everyone. We made it through the very last week of home learning and we are so excited to welcome all of the children back to school again on Monday.
This week we have lots to celebrate, as always. The children in school have completed some lovely art work and writing based on Handa's Surprise and enjoyed their measure activities. Children at home have been very busy too, completing lots of lovely activities and sending in their pictures. Please see some of these pictures below.
Yesterday we celebrated World Book Day and children in school and at home enjoyed wearing their favourite colours and completing lots of lovely story related tasks. We really enjoyed reading a story to the children at home via zoom and we hope everybody at home enjoyed it, too! It was lovely to have a catch up with the children and we know they enjoyed seeing their friends again. Thank you to all those who attended the story sessions online. If you weren't able to attend, don't worry! We have uploaded the stories to the blog so you can watch at another time.
A big, special mention this week to Ted Williams in Hazel class and his mum, who surprised the children at school on Thursday with special book and treat parcels attached to our school gates for anybody to take and enjoy. All of the children who were lucky enough to get one were over the moon with their kind and thoughtful gift - thank you very much, Ted!
Thank you to all parents and children on your hard work and dedication to learning over the past 8 weeks. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you all back on Monday. Until then, enjoy a very well deserved relaxing weekend.
The Year 1 Team.
