Maths Investigation Outside
Rowan had fun using the outdoor learning classroom for our Maths lesson.
This week in Maths we have been learning how to split numbers and shapes into equal groups and exploring different ways how to do it.
We completed a range of activities in the outdoor learning classroom and used different resources to split shapes into equal groups!
We used different grids made of sticks and the children used coloured mats to split the grid equally We also looked at some problem solving tasks using sticks found around the outdoor classroom to create our own shapes and then split them into equal groups!
This was an exciting activity and we all enjoyed investigating how we could split the different shapes into equal groups!
Challenge!
Can you think of different ways of how to split these numbers into equal groups?
