Our first full week in Year one - Beech Class
The children have settled really well into their new classroom. They have had lots of fun this week taking part in lots of different learning opportunities.
They have all taken part in a guided reading session - this week we read the book 'This is the bear' which they all enjoyed.
They took part in a PE lesson and practised following instructions and using different equipment. The children also used the equipment outside.
They had their first whole class Ukulele lesson which they really enjoyed. They will have three more ukulele lessons over the next few weeks.
The children practised using 'The B-Bot App' where they worked with a partner to control a B-Bot on the screen.
They also started learning about Liverpool and looked at the different landmarks in our city.
They demonstrated their good mathematical understanding by counting, ordering numbers and representing numbers in different ways.
All the children have had a very busy week and we are looking forward to doing it all again next week.
