Science Week - Building Bridges in Beech!
The theme for this year's British Science Week was bridges and structures.
In Year 2, we first learned about how bridges are made and identified three different types of bridges. Can you remember them all?
We then explored how we could make our bridges strong and sturdy enough when using card and books.
Over the week, we used different materials to build a bridge that would be strong enough to carry the weight of a toy car.
The different materials we used were:
Lego
Wooden blocks
Multi-link
Spaghetti
We all had to work had as a team and have lots of resilience! Especially when we made the bridge out of Spaghetti! Well done Beech!
