Week 5 - Learning at Home

Good morning Year One and welcome to week 5 and the first day of a brand new month.

Your child should have received their pack for Week 5 and 6 as they were delivered to everybody last week. If you have not received a pack then please email your child's class teacher as soon as possible and we will get a pack out to you straight away.

Inside the pack there are instructions for Maths, English and Topic work. The topic work has been included in the pack as I know some families were struggling to access Purple Mash. We would like all the children who can access Purple Mash to continue to do so. If your child wants to complete both the Topic work sheets and The Purple Mash activities then they can.

English is all based on another traditional story, 'The Three Little Pigs' and the activities are all explained in the pack.

In Maths the children are continuing their work on addition and subtraction using the White Rose resources.

Six '2 do's' have been set on Purple Mash that need to be completed by Friday. The activities include Art, Science and Geography.

Also, if you click on Serial Mash on your child's home page of Purple Mash there are reading books and reading activities that your child can access. The 'Diamonds' books are the ones that will be age appropriate for your child.

You will receive the Read, Write Inc videos for this week by email today for your child.

Please try and email some examples of your child's work to their class teacher during the week.
