Working hard in Oak Class
We are all back for the Summer Term in Year One and have begun our busy learning. This week we have been building on our knowledge of the countries in the UK and the capital cities of those countries.
We have begun our work on Animals by looking at some information books and naming all the animals we know.
We have enjoyed listening to our story this week 'Giraffe's can't dance' and have increased our understanding of rhyming words.
We are increasing our skills using I pads by completing tasks on Purple Mash. We really enjoyed composing our own Music in the music room on Mini Mash.
We have started looking at numbers bigger than 20. We have been practising counting up to 50 and recognising two-digit numbers beyond 20. We used Base 10 equipment to represent numbers in tens and ones.
